Malta

🇲🇹

Mediterranean chapter

Malta,
in six postcards.

A small island country carrying an unusually long story. Across more than 7,000 years, Malta has been shaped by prehistoric builders, Mediterranean powers, the Knights of St John and the British period—layers still visible in its stone cities, harbours and fortifications.

Its capital, Valletta, was founded after the Great Siege of 1565 and is now one of Malta’s three UNESCO World Heritage properties. These are a few personal frames from my own visit.
